Echigo-Tsumari Festival of the Earth in Summer 2010
One-month relay of Satoyama festivals!
"Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennial", the festival of Satoyama and contemporary art, has taken place for more than ten years.
The exchanges between the countryside and cities through art have opened up a new dimension in the 1500 year long history of the region.
The Festival of the Earth will be celebrated with nature, life, people and art.
30 villages will participate and hold their local festivities in relay for one month.

Dates：Sunday, 1st August through Tuesday, 31st August, 2010
Venue: Echigo-Tsumari area (60 square kilometers, Tokamachi City & Tsunan Town, Niigata Prefecture)
Organized by：Echito-Tsumari Festival of the Earth 2010 Executive Committee
Addmission： Passport (available for three days） Adult: 2，000 yen Elementary school, junior high school & high school students: 500 yen

１．About 200 works of art are opened to the public
About 200 works which were created from 2000 to 2009 for four editions of Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennial will be opened to the public.
２．One festival for one village ～ Festivals and workshops will be held every day.

３．Guided bus tour to visit art and Satoyama in summerWith a guide, you will never be lost and more enjoy the art works. (In principle, in Japanese)
