Shedding House

In 2006 they made “Shedding House” by intensely shaving away the surfaces of walls and pillars in an empty house with a chisel. You can also stay overnight at this house, which is also known after it’s old trading name of “Tofuya.” This time a building very close to the previous work has been thermal sprayed in contrast to ‘shaving away’ in the previous work, this time the technique is to ‘wrap up.’ Metal is attached to the house so it resembles a croquette covered in deep fried batter. Depending on timing, you may even be able to eat some hot croquettes fresh from Toge Village!
