A collaboration project between Echigo-Tsumari youngsters and NOWHERE (a cultural production in Amsterdam)  young singers has been realized after 2 months preparations, NOWHERE posted their movies and music tracks on the web and local Tsumari dancers choreographed them. As soon as NOWHERE team arrived in Tsumari, they started giving rehearsals every night until the day of the festival. A participant of singer's workshop given by Caprice, first class soul singer in Netherland, appeared on the stage with Gina, one of NOWHERE singers.

This collaboration also brought us, the Echigo Tsumari Art Triennial, a chance to work together with some groups of local young people.

In spite of bad weather on Aug. 1st, the day of festival, the artists and festival visitors' mood ran high, all the participants seemed enjoy themselves and the modest size building has been filled with laughter and joyful music.

NOWHERE's special blog for Echigo-Tsumari "KonnichiwaNowhere" reports all the process of preparations and their performance and stays in Tokamachi:
