About the artwork

The artist extracts texts and drawings about Echigo-Tsumari from “Hokuetsu Seppu” (written by Suzuki Bokushi) that featured life in snow country, published in Edo in 1937, and became a best-selling book of the time. Drawings by light appear as you turn the page being lit up, recomposing scenes of the story in the real space.
