About the artwork

”Sankuro Kitsune” is a folk tale in Tanokura about a fox that bewitches people. Sankuro Kitsune symbolizes this satoyama environment, rich in a mysterious sense of the deep recesses of the mountain where the fox lives and plays its “tricks”. The “sensor foxes” set up throughout the village appear to be running when the wind fills them. If you set out to follow them, you soon find yourself back where you started. Encountering the 400 “sensor foxes” in the park, you can vicariously experience the tales about being bewitched by Sankuro Kitsune.
