A new piece of art, "Le thêatre d'ombre", is added to "The Last Classroom", a large-scale installation that has been set in 2006 within the entire building of former Higashikawa Elementary School. Projected on the walls of a darkened classroom are shadows of skeletons, bats, angels: creatures that mediate life and death. They appear to be fantastic, humourous and playful but these creatures playing and dancing in the light and shadow also imply "a death that could happen to anybody". A masterpiece by an artist whose work consistently represents the life and death of anonymous individuals and groups.
