The 3rd series of Kohebi Salon exploring "how people in Echigo-Tsumari spent winter 100 years ago" was held at Art Front Gallery in Tokyo on Monday 6 March 2017.
24 participants including Fram Kitagawa, General Director exchanged views and opinions about the question about the way people lived here in the past. We all had to remind ourselves of the fact that there were no electric rice cooker, washing machine nor television then.
It was too exhaust our imagination of how people spent time when trappend in the snow and didn't have anything to do nor find a collective "answer" to the question in the limited time. However, it may be something each of us will discover as we engage with the region over time.
The next series of Kohebi Salon no.4 will be held on Monday 3 April 2017.
