Masayuki Hashimoto won the 67th Art Encouragement Prizes in fine arts

Masayuki Hashimoto, one of the participating artists in ETAT2000 has been awarded Art Encouragement Prizes in the field of fine arts this year. The award is set out by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology to celebrate people with outstanding achievements in their respective field.

Masayuki Hashimoto's artwork for ETAT2000 drew an inspiration from trees which were bent by the weight of snow. His artwork has been one of the permanent collections of Echigo-Tsumari Art Field and become part of surronding forest to form a new space which will be available to receive visitors after the snow dissapear this spring.
