Revealing stories behind artworks
Official collaboration between ON THE TRIP × Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale

We are pleased to announce the lanch of Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale's official guide app.
ON THE TRIP is an app for smart-phone providing information on travel destinations across Japan and Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale has been their first destination to explore. The app will act like an audio-guide you use at museums and it will unveil untold stories of artworks of ETAT and artists visions by introducing these artworks through voice, photos, texts and movies as people visit them navigating through their smart-phone.

The app is developed under the concept, "Art talks"
Let's look at the artwork, "For Lots of Lost Windows" by Akiko Utsumi. Rather than making influence on direct experience of "feeling" artworks as visitors encounter them, the app will help them reflect upon those artworks through asking questions such as "what does "lost windows" mean?".

The price for downloading the official guide is JPY600. And part of the cost will be contributed to Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale Executive Committee and help run the festival. Check out and download the demonstration version for free which feature sixteen artworks.
