Officie guided tours from August to November: ETAT Playback Tours

ETAT Playback tours are running on Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays after Echigo-Tsumari Art Field 2019 Summer has come to an end. We are also inviting booking for the autumn special tours which will be run during weekends between 12 October and 4 November.

ETAT Playback tours are day-trip tour which take participants to artworks created in the last 20 year-history of ETAT with official guide and lunch. Two different courses featuring artworks from previous festivals. The tour participants will also be given priority access to Kiyotsukyo Tunnel while artworks by two artists, "The Last Class" by Christian Boltanski and "House Memory" by Chiharu Shiota, who are showing large-scale solo retrospective exhibitions in Tokyo will be exclusively opened to the tour participants. The tour starts and finishes at Echigo-Yuzawa station and you can book it until 9am of the date of the tour - so join us to explore Echigo-Tsuari this summer and autumn.

▼Part1 2009-2018
The tour takes artworks created from 2009 to 2018 and special exhibitions. Kiyotsukyo Tunnel, in particular is a must-visit artwork after its renovation in 2018 which was also featured in a popular TV show in Japan.

▼Part2 2000-2009
The tour takes masterpieces created from 2000 to 2006 including "The Last Class" by Christian Boltanski and "House Memory" by Chiharu Shiota, which are open only for tour participants.

▼Autumn special (Part1&Part2)
Special tours in autumn will be run during Echigo-Tsumari Art Field 2019 Autumn.The tour participants will enjoy lunch at Ubusuna House and visit artworks open only for tour participants.

Tour start/finish at 10am / 18pm at east exit of Echigo-Yuzawa station
Price per course: Adult JPY12,800, Child age under 15 JPY9,800 (tour price include transportation, lunch, travel insurance, admissions to artworks and tour guide)
