Completed the master’s program at the Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam in 2013. Returned to Japan in 2022 after about ten years based in Europe. Currently residing in Yamanashi. The artist creates artworks using various methods such as sculpture, video, and performance. The artist produces works that oscillate between reality and fiction, eliciting the imagination of people from ordinary daily events. Notable works include “Apple,” a melted apple sculpture carved from apple wood and oil paint, “Ishinomaki Thirteen Minutes”, the video installation based on experiences related to the earthquakes and the COVID-19 pandemic, and “Perfectly Ordinary Stones, Carried For 1300 Years”, started in 2014 and to be completed in 3314.
