NOHBUTAI Snow-Land Agrarian Culture Center, Matsudai
The building and rooms of the Nohbutai are themselves works of art. Visitors can enjoy the works of Ilya & Emilia Kabakov and various other artists, and the view of the "terraced rice fields" from the observation deck changes with the seasons, making it enjoyable no matter how many times you visit. Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale goods can be purchased at the Matsudai "Nohbutai" Museum Shop. Please make your purchases while calculating the amount of baggage and the time required for the shuttle bus to Matsudai Castle.

Echigo-Matsudai Satoyama Shokudo
The "Satoyama Buffet" is served on weekends and holidays, and the "Satoyama Plate" and "Satoyama Curry" on weekdays. The buffet offers a variety of delicacies with local flavors and home-style dishes arranged with plenty of wild vegetables nurtured by the living nature of Echigo-Tsumari. Recharge your energy in the afternoon with a delicious meal.

"NOHBUTAI" Field Museum and Echigo-Tsumari Satoyama Museum
There are many outdoor artworks in Nohbutai that can be viewed within a short walk, such as Yayoi Kusama's "Tsumari in Bloom" and Koichiro Azuma's "Kaitensuru Absence". Visitors can experience the lush nature of Echigo-Tsumari through these outdoor artworks, which blend into the rice fields and trees as they bask in the spring sun.

Matsudai Castle
Matsudai Castle" is located 15 minutes up the hill from the shuttle bus stop. Three artists have developed their works inside the three-story castle. The 384-meter-high summit offers a panoramic view of the Matsudai area and is a good photo spot. Please wear comfortable clothes.

Choma
Tokamachi was once known for its specialty, Echigo-shuku, a product representative of Echigo in the Edo period. Works featuring ramie (Choma), the material used to make the product, and events are painted in the plaza and alleys leading from Tokamachi Station to MonET. Please look for Yusuke Asai's works blending into the cityscape.

The Echigo-Tsumari Satoyama Museum of Contemporary Art will reopen in 2021 with new artworks and expanded exhibition space. Contemporary artists such as Kohei Nawa, Me [me'], Michiko Nakatani, and others will gather at the Echigo-Tsumari Satoyama Museum of Contemporary Art MonET Museum Shop on the second floor, where visitors can purchase Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale souvenirs and the Earth Rice grown by FC Echigo-Tsumari and other art festival staff.

Designed by architect Hiroshi Hara, this art and relaxation day spa is equipped with shampoo and body soap. Towel rentals are available, so you can rest lightly after a full day of walking.
