The Day After Tomorrow Newspaper Cultural Department (2003) by Katsuhiko Hibino is proudly hosting rice planting and seedling of morning glory this year. They are planning to organise "Azamihira Theatre Festival" during the ETAT2018 where seven selected companies from the open call will present their performances. The Day After Tomorrow Morning Glory Project has been exanded to different parts of Japan and there will be a meeting for those who are part of the project on 27 May in Saitama.
Azamihira village has been gearing up for rice planting in May. We began with local people's support to set ropes in April where snow was still with us.
We then move onto planting seedling of morning glory. We sprinkled lime and fertiliser when sakura (cherry blossom) was full in bloom follwed by cultivated by tractor. They already saw three baby coming out to grow.
We are ready (thanks to the local people's support) for rice planting. We look forward to seeing you there.
