Serial Exhibition Series Vol.4: "Reverse String" by Ai Tanaka

This is a solo exhibition of Ai Tanaka, a painter from Aichi Prefecture who creates abstract paintings using mineral pigments (paints made of crushed ore particles).

When the paint is applied to form a shape and become a painting, the sparkle of the particles is what attracts attention. This exhibition is set in Tokamachi in the middle of winter, when snow piles up in a thick, sometimes pounding, heap, and consists of new works by a painter who attempts to create a world that can be reconfigured in a roundabout way by drawing from line to circle all at once.
