Hossein Valamanesh is an artist who migrated from Iran to Australia to be free from social and political oppression. He participated in the first ETAT along with Australian-born Angela Valamanesh, who was influenced by a wide range of disciplines including science, history, and philosophy. The chair, with its elements of animals, humans and artificial materials seem like a condensation of our world. The carved footprints in this newly created pedestal responding to the space of Australia House calls attention to human absence.
