Tomo Yamaguchi (perc)
Chairman of Japan Junk Percussion Instruments Association. Percussonisnt / Drummer / Photographer. After making a debut with Hiro Tsunoda through Jap’s Gap’s, he has participated in concert tours and recording by Sayuri Ishikawa, Miho Nakayama, Miki Imai and Ken Hirai. He began creating junk percussion instruments in 1995. He was known as Tomo Tomo, one of the regular presenters at "Doremi no TV" (NHK 2003-2006). He has been performing at "junk music concert (garakuta ongakukai)" since 2000, spreading music that talks to all ages.
Shizzle Ohtaka (vo)
Singer ＆ Voice artist. Using her rainbow-colour voice, she expands the frontier of songs. As the pioneer of "drawing by voice (Koe no oekaki), she challenges the potential of voice making it barrier-free. "Kurayami Bijutsukan (Museum)" a collaborative work of voice and light inspired by the philosophy of Inyo presented at Ichihara Lakeside Museum in 2016 was well received by the audience. Her performance at the TV programme for children "Nihongo de Asobo (at NHK ETV) introduces alternative aspects of "the forgotten universe of Japanese". "Osenaka Ondo", a nostalgic but funny song remembeirng where you are from while connecting to where you will be gone is available for download across shops.
Learning how to play piano since early childhood and composed music and self-taught writing lyrics and composing music. He made his major debut in The New Classics on 15 October 2008 in Japan after studying in the USA for six years. He started solo work in 2011. His original music has been gradually recognised and he has been expanding his holizon as lyric writer and composer through providing music to other artists as well as composing music for TV soap opera and animations. Stories behind music composed by ASU express "kindness and warmth that will be reveiled in suffering and sadness" thus reach to the core of hear of listners while capturing nostalgic, majestic and vivid portrait of a scene.
