Special exhibitions this winter at KINARE / Matsudai Nohbutai

New exhibitions for this winter, "Snowy Wonderland" and "All about rice from terraced rice field - Winter" have launched on Saturday 18 January 2020 at Echigo-Tsumari Satoyama Museum of Contemporary Art, KINARE and Matsudai Nohbutai respectively. Both exhibitions highlight charm of the snow country.

"Snowy Wonderland" at KINARE

Duration: Sat 18 Jan - Sun 22 Mar 2020

Experience SNOWART no the pure white canvas by seeing, playing and eating! Experience Komatsu and Tansu which have been turned into vehicle and play equipment and try tasting local delicacies on snow!

"Wall of Entrance Exam: Tansu version" by Yoshiaki Daihatsu. Try bouldering!

Bar offering Omochi on charcol and coffee made on bonfire.

Outdoor space around the Matsudai Nohbutai will host "Snowy Wonderland" during seven days of weekends between Sun 15 Feb and 1 Mar.

*Some programs may be cancelled due to the weather conditions.

"All about rice from terraced rice field - Winter" at Matsudai Nohbutai

Duration: Sat 18 Jan - Sun 22 Mar 2020

Under snow, into the hole, in the house, drying, salting, miso and sake - the world of preserved food will be introduced and you may even like to try tasting at Echigo-Matsudai Satoyama Shokudo. Rice grown in seven different villages will be available for purchase on site.
