Aigars Bikše

Latvia

Born in Latvia, 1962, lives and works there. Bikše is known for his interactive sculptures and installations based on history, culture, and social conditions. He has
installed large-scale works in cities in Latvia and abroad, including Japan and the Philippines. He is the curator of the sculpture exhibition “Sculpture Quadrennial
Riga” held every four years in Riga, Latvia (2004, 2008, 2012). Head and founder of the Arts Management and Information Center (MMIC).
