Born in Yamagata City in 1982, the artist studied oil painting at Tohoku University of Art and Design. Based in Yamagata Prefecture, the artist’s work explores the relationships between human and nature, the West and the East, and rural and urban areas. Focusing on themes such as conflict, domination, and harmony of such relationships, the artist presents a multifaceted expression of these concepts, primarily through oil painting.
