About the artwork

This object, formed from three large wooden letters―A, R, and T―also serves a bench, indeal for its location in front of the Matsudai town offices. The word “art” has great potential for acrostic word play; it can be interpreted, for example, as standing for “attraction, restructuring, and thrive.”
