About the artwork

In the beech forest behind the Hoshitomorinouta Museum, objects-ladders, a house, and horizontal wooden poles swathed in white cloth strips-float like a snowy landscape. In this region, the long ladders used when clearing the snow off roofs are still to be seen here and there; even in summer, snow is never out of mind.
