About the artwork

ANBORI Yubun was an inventor in the Bunka and Bunsei Eras (19th Century). His original inventions seem to have been based on the principle of the duodecimal scale. The modern artist displayed modern recreations of these unique inventions, in a community hall, which is a center of the memories of people of the community. The hall was planned to be managed as a library, where a collection of works of TANAKA Fumio, a master carpenter, are housed on the first floor, after the Triennial. The place is solemnly displayed with the works “Lighting Book” of Airan Kang, a Korean artist.
