About the artwork

The artist has refurbished the living room of a stately old Japanese house. The entire interior is somehow different from the usual. There is a quaint set of table and chairs. The aromatic coffee on the table is contained in three or four cups that are attached to each other. On the desk, instead of ink and Japanese writing paper, you will find coffee-colored paint and paper napkins. Visitors can enjoy the coffee, take photographs holding the linked cups, and write their impressions using paint. A ceremony with coffee is created here, and everyday actions take on a different meaning.
