About the artwork
This shrine is dedicated to the wonders of nature in Matsudai. The interior is divided into three layers in which the “Three Sacred Treasures” (echoing the imperial Three Sacred Treasures) of Matsudai are reverently installed: the bracing Matsudai air, charcoal for purification, and the sacred waters of Matsudai.
