About the artwork

A giant kotatsu seven meters square. It can be taken apart into four parts so that it can be transported for various uses. Participants at a workshop created the colorful patchwork. This artwork plays the part of a “place” where people can gather and sit, take a break and have a chat. It also became a stage for the Momonga Complex dance performance. After the event, the audience sat around the kotatsu and drank tea, creating a lively scene.
