About the artwork

For the thematic exhibition, the artist set up a place for a festival, where the ancestors of Koshirakura could come back after a long absence. For the permanent exhibition, she composed an arrangement that could “respire” the quiet flow of time in Koshirakura. A house, a place of living for villagers, became a stage and its leading character. There, the artist says, “a festival in the true sense existed.”
