About the artwork

An observation deck located in Matsudai’s Joyama area. Two sets of spiralling staircases are twisted against each other, creating the “∞” shape which represents infinity. Depending on the angle, they appear to change into various shapes such as the number 8 or a large circle. The observation deck was also designed for visitors to repeatedly go up and down infinitely.
