About the artwork

The artist set up pipes in a 0.5 hectare field, strung wires, and hung thin, white, old clothes (collected from people in the neighbourhood). The many pieces of white clothing reflect the summer’s sun and dance in the breezes over the field. They suggest the spirits of people who once lived in this region and are here no more.
