About the artwork

The grove of white, blue, green, and yellow pillars, inspired by beech forests, give off a soft light at night. There are six light islands, differing in size, color, and shape, which symbolize the six municipalities in the Tsumari region, each with its own characterisrics. The pillars are installed in the plaza on the south side of the Tokamachi Information Library.
