About the artwork

Boys clad in red loin cloths used to be a common summer sight in Shibumi River in the hamlet of Koarato. Boy-figures in red loincloths made in 2006 and 2009 welcomed visitors at the entrance to the hamlet. And this summer the wind god, the thunder god, Kintaro and Momotaro, all in red loin cloths, gather along the walking course inside the hamlet.
