About the artwork

A folding screen painted with large lotus flowers was displayed on the floor, littered with lotus leaves. It created a very relaxing atmosphere. The artist visited many places to collect 2,000 lotus receptacles. While the artist was originally a specialist in plant painting and usually paints solitarily, she was helped by many local people this time and seemed to accept the experience in a fresh mood.
