About the artwork

Matsudai Castle is one of the symbols of the Matsudai area. From the castle, which is on the mountain peak, you can see the whole sato homeland, spread in the distance. The artist collected disused farm equipment and household items from each of the houses in Matsudai, packed them into the castle and spray painted them gold. Moving inside the castle reveals a glittering space of detailed d?cor. If you go through to the observation room, the magnificent view will set you free. The overwhelming difference between the inside and the outside, the polarity of the two worlds, shakes up the visitor’s sensations.
