About the artwork

Since “Les Linges” presented in the 1st ETAT, Boltanski admired Echigo-Tsumari and participated in almost every festival. He created “Voyage d’Et” for the 2nd festival and “The Last Class” for the 3rd festival in the former Higashikawa Primary School. Based on the interview he conducted in the disaster-affected area, he showed “No Man’s Land” at the 5th festival. An artwork he had planned will be realised this summer.
