About the artwork

For more than 130 years, a public primary school functioned as the center of this village. After the school was closed, children disappeared. The classroom was where people had hopes and dreams for the future, but now it is empty. The artist did video interviews of old people who live in the village, and listened to their memories and dreams of the village. In the vacant classroom, hopes and dreams were created by the installation, which brought back memories of the school and the village.
