About the artwork

Ten miniature houses, each about 40 centimeters tall, wide, and deep and modelled on traditional houses found in this region, are displayed at two locations, in the Daigonji Highlands in Matsunoyama and along the Nakago-Fushikuro Passage in Kawanishi. These tiny villages, appearing in a mountain valley and out among the summer grass protest against the depopulation of the region.
