About the artwork

Upon visiting Koshirakura, the artist felt a gentle “wind” in the village surrounded by nature. Starting from that memory, he transformed pieces of bamboo into “wind,” one by one, and created this arrangement. During the Triennial, those artists who made their works in public met the visitors directly. “Hello! Come in and stay as long as you like,” the artist would say. While fresh wind blew through the open house, visitors spent a precious rest time, watching the artist at work.
