About the artwork

I worked with local residents at Doichi in Tokamachi making ongu (sound objets) and listening to the music they make, because I enjoy working with my hands and working with people. Working with clay, there are occasions when one cannot work alone, and I do enjoy how processes change when others are involved. I do not do everything myself, yet do not depend entirely on others. We enrich our individuality by working in this middle zone. (Open Competition Winning Work)
