About the artwork

Using a cage-like structure of steel bars and razor mesh imported from South Africa,the work recalls the special townships for Africans in South Africa. Following the example of other structures in this region,it is built on a concrete foundation. Visitors may go inside this space which is covered by snow in winter and by ivy in summer.
