About the artwork

The stage which the artist selected for his exhibition is the Kuroki waterfall, a place forgotten for the past 50 years and is located behind the Nakate village. Various large and small chairs are arranged in this space, offering a resting place for the weary traveller but also appears to be a prayer and an homage for those who are forced to move or sent into exile, a common occurrence in today’s world.
