This is the final exhibition of “Gallery YUYAMA,” the culmination of the revitalization of “YUYAMA House” as part of the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale’s “Unoccupied House Project” in 2006, and its transformation into a permanent gallery in an old private house since 2012. On Oct 7, the first day of the exhibition, a performance and a talk by Kitagawa Fram, General Director of the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale, will be held. The closing event will be held on Nov 5, the final day of the exhibition.

Greetings from Gallery YUYAMA and all the management committee members

In 2006, the “Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale: Unoccupied Houses Project” revitalized the “YUYAMA House” and has been presenting it as a permanent gallery in an old private house since 2012. However, due to the aging of the management committee members, we have decided to terminate our activities after this exhibition.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all those who have supported and cooperated with us over the years.
