In March 2001, the year after the first Echigo-Tsumari Art Trienniale, two “A-bombed persimmon trees II” were planted in Matsudai. Everyone painted pictures and words on flags and rings to decorate these trees. Let us entrust our thoughts of peace to the persimmon trees that have grown up so well.

*The flags will be displayed around the persimmon tree during the “Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale 2024”.
