workshop

An installation of curtains weaving memories from memorable clothes will be created in a classroom at the NUNAGAWA Campus. Workshops on making artworks will be held before the exhibition, and workshops on secondhand clothes will be held during the exhibition period.

▼Artist Profile

Okawa Yuki

Graduated from Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts and Music in 2012. She creates three-dimensional works using old clothes and cloth as the materials with traces of time and memories of life closest to the body. The “form” of a new memory that no one knows, which connects someone’s memory with someone else’s memory on its own. In recent years, he has participated in art festivals and artist-in-residence programs, and is currently exploring ways to develop his expression using local history and festivals as motifs!

Australia House

Located in the Urada village in Matsunoyama area, Australia House was built in 2012 as a platform to foster exchange between Japan and Australia. Artists, curators and students have stayed in the house and created and presented their artworks while local people have discovered the diverse cultures existing within Australia. We are pleased to invite the general public to experience staying in this distinctive cultural facility.

Museum on Echigo-Tsumari, MonET special exhibition"The answer is blowin' in the wind"

In the summer of 2025, a special exhibition directed by BankART1929 will be held in the corridor of MonET. Centered around the courtyard pond, the space will be transformed into a harmonious orchestra-like environment through artworks that produce sound and others that sway gently in the wind. Workshops by participating artists are also planned.

Echigo-Tsumari Art Field Day 2025

On Saturday, September 20th, 2025, the ”Echigo-Tsumari Art Field Day” will be held at the NUNAGAWA Campus. It is a festival that transcends nationality and age, open to participation from children to adults. It is a festival that embraces the nature, history, and food of Echigo-Tsumari, free from being bound by the elements of art.
