DAY 1)
Satoyama welcomes you! Arrive at Echigo-Yuzawa station where you will meet your guide who will navigate you through the local culture and people who live there. First, you'll enjoy plenty of locally farmed and seasonal Satoyama cuisine, some ingredients that can only be enjoyed in Satoyama. After lunch, you will step into Echigo-Tsumari, home to the world's largest art festival. And finally, finish the day at our selected accommodation in Tokamachi.

DAY 2)
Exploring the Art Festival with a private guide:
Take a private art tour with a local guide who has built up the art festival as a pioneer member of regional art festivals, held all over Japan in recent years. The tour is curated from approximately 300 artworks to provide an original art experience. Transportation will be by a private car.

DAY 3)
Experience Satoyama‘s luxurious life with local people:
Spend another day in Echigo-Tsumari and you will feel your senses come to life in Satoyama. “Satoyama Luxury” is something you can encounter in each season at this beautiful farmhouse-cum-guest house. The owner of the guest house moved to Tokamachi because he was fascinated by its terraced rice paddies. Karl Bencks is a German architect who specialized in revitalizing old private homes. Together they transformed the over 100-year-old house into a property that combines functionality and design. During your stay here, you will simply enjoy the leisurely flow of time amidst the spectacular view of the terraced rice paddies spread out before you. We hope this experience amongst the terraced rice fields with help you feel relaxed and regenerated.
