【Updated on 15 Oct】Temporary closure of artworks / take-down of signboards due to Tyhoon Hagibis

Posted : October 16, 2019

Due to the recent hit by Typhoon Hagibis, we are afraid that some artworks are continued to be closed to the public. We will start installing signboards across the region and we appreciate your patience. Please watch out landslide and overflow of river as you explore Echigo-Tsumari.

▼Artworks closed to the public

The access to the following three artworks are located to river and thus remain closed to the public.

"POTEMKIN" by Architectural Office Casagrande & Rintala
"Nakasato Scarecrow Garden" by Chris Matthews
"For Warm Image - Shinano River" by Hirotoshi Sakaguchi

※ You can get stamps for those artworks included in the stamp rally at Echigo-Tsumari Satoyama Museum of Contemporary Art, KINARE, Matsudai Nohbutai, Museum of Picture Book Art, or Tokamachi Tourist Information Centre (west exit).

Signboard across the region will be installed from Tuesday 15 October onward.
