Andi Ramdani Imron

Japan

Born in 1979 in Indonesia. Traditional Indonesian toys are made from bamboo. Andi Ramdani
Imron has been fond of bamboo ever since he was a child. Bamboo has always been the core subject for his paintings, sculptures and installations even after he became an adult and studied painting. Just as we can’t escape from temptation in life, bamboo bends when blown by the wind. However, they return
to their upright posture when the wind dies down. In the view of the artist, the flexibility of bamboo expresses a unique and perfect philosophy.
