Formed in 2006. Based in Hiroshima, Asian Wings is a stateless folk music group continues on peace pilgrimages within and beyond Japan. Members consist of Masashi Saeki (oud, sanshin), Yayomi Imori (voice, kaoss pad), Minehiko Tanaka (sitar), Riko Tanaka (tabula), Saori Kojima (theremin), and Haruhiko Saga (morin khuur, tuvan throat singing).
Asian Wings has performed at NPT Peace Walk, Peace Concert (New York), participated in “PICADON”, the first exhibition on atomic bomb in Norway (Volda), and “Hibaku Piano” Concert (Tokyo) while organised peace concerts in collaboration with dancers and choirs in Hiroshima and Kyoto.
