Azuma Koichiro

Born in Tokyo in 1998. Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School of Fine Arts, Department of Intermedia Art in 2022. Received the Ryohei Miyata Award. Selected for the 24th Taro Okamoto Award for Contemporary Art (TARO Award). By utilising exceptional metalworking skills, the artist primarily creates moving three-dimensional works that move as human engage with them. His masterpieces include rotating absences made from bicycle materials and the Infinite Wheel showcased at ACC in Korea in 2023. In recent years the artist actively participates in group exhibitions abroad, particularly in countries in Asia, gaining attention.
