Ozawa Tsuyoshi

Japan

Born in Tokyo in 1965. Known for his works using various techniques such as painting, photography, video, and installation, in which he sharply critiques history and
society with a sense of humor. In the early 1990s, he started “Consultation Art” and “Nasubi Gallery,” an ultra-compact mobile gallery using milk crates. In 1999, he created the “Soy Sauce Painting Museum,”; in 2001, he began the “Vegetable Weapon” series; and in 2013, he began the “I’m Back” series, in which he constructs a
narrative by superimposing fact and fiction on real historical figures.
