About the artwork

Japanese cedars in the region bear the weight of heavy snowfall and their root bend gradually over years. The artist were fascinated by this distinctive appearance of the bent root cedars and created a sculpture representing the harsh and abundant nature. Over twenty of the cut bent root cedars were piled up like a column as high as three meters with the bent part of the tree on the top and stood amongst the cedar forest along the mountain path.

Material: Roots bend cedar and Steel frame
