About the artwork

Azamihira Theatre Festival was launched in 2010 as a part of the activities run by the Day After Tomorrow Newspaper Cultural Department to dream about something beyond tomorrow. As part of a new challenge, the organiser invited residency artists through a public call to create something distinctive to the place. Several stages will be set up across the village and newly-created performances will be presented in front of the beautiful “satoyama” landscape.
